A live date from Roulette in NYC which reunites Rob and Matthew in the same context of their mutual first LP (Sonic Explorations). This is the first documented recording of Rob playing flute. 2 half-hour improv pieces and an encore put you where the action was that night. Rob’s alto playing is red hot and Matt was known to leave his blood on the piano keys during this period of his career - a jazz myth? You decide.

The 2 reunite in June 1996 as part of ´The Vision for the 21st Century Festival´ and their partnership is again cemented…After the incredible response they receive Brown asks Shipp to share his evening at Roulette on Oct. 12, 1996 and the result is here…(…)
